 The strong historical of the  shovel lifting system:
The MEGALIFTER® is the first developed and patented lifting system dedicated to undecking/redecking of shovels safely and efficiently. It has proven its high level of safety and efficiency through many shovel lifts since 1996. In the last years, a larger unit has started to demonstrate its safety and efficiency in the USA and Canada with the undecking/redecking of different sizes and makes of shovels, from the 20 cu. yds to the 60 cu. yds inclusively.

Due to its twin-jack lifting point design, the MEGALIFTERŽ is the unique system or method which provides 100% support back up and reliability in case of any hydraulic misfunctioning or other potential hazard. Moreover, all structural components are designed to safely support the heaviest shovels with severe blasts being made close to the lift site.
Maximum ACCESS and EASE in the repair job:
As seen on the photographs, due to its self-standing design, the MEGALIFTERŽ is the unique system or method which provides 100% access to underneath from three sides of the shovel for service equipment access and repairs works. As a matter of fact, it provides heavy lateral stability without the need of any cumbersome bracing which would eliminate access for material handling and repair works.
Simple installation and operation:
The installation of the MEGALIFTER® can be completed within a day. The procedure is simple and as follows:
The rear and front 3-pieces beam-jacks assemblies are done by simply setting each beam up on its twin-jack structures and bolting it together. This can be done at the same time than the trucks are being unloaded and requires a few hours.
The rear beam-jack assembly is then handled by a crane at the back of the shovel which is then propelled back over the rear lifting assembly. Pre-extension of the jacks along with adequate spacing allow the initial support of the shovel right at the back under the counterweight box.
If required in the shovel repair schedule, the front components, boom, stick and dipper, can now be removed since the shovel is supported at its back by the rear lifting assembly. Specific front attachments, either for boom-on or boom-off lifting as required in each case, are then installed to work in conjunction with the previously assembled front lifting assembly which is handled in place as a whole by a crane.
As soon as the front lifting assembly is set-up, the required shovel lift is done automatically and smoothly in one-hour time by the computerised control station which accurately keeps the lifting plane as required for the whole elevation.
About an hour later, once the separation is completed, the carbody is propelled out and the shovel is then lowered to its initial level for the execution of the required repairs. Following those repairs, the reset up of the shovel will be done as simply as for the separation.
